Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone here applied for PMHNP program at the University of Rochester for Fall 2020 class. Has anyone received an interview letter yet?

I realize this is a little old. I'm in this program now if you have any questions.

How is the program going? And if you don’t mind how are you paying for it?

Hello, I just got accepted for the Spring 2021 start.

Are you currently enrolled? If so, how are the classes/program?

Also what classes did you start with?

Thank you for your time in advance! ?

are you local?  I live in the Bronx, I know the website says, they find clinical sites for students.. was wondering if this will be a program since I am far away.

I know this is a lot, So sorry... but Thank you so much for your time in advance! ?

I'm about half way through. So far it's going well.  The instructors are good.  I chose the 3 year program instead of 2.  If you are doing the 3 years you'll probably start with ethics, advanced pharmacology, theoretical framework class (Freud, Erickson, etc), research principles, and a writing class.  The second year you start the psychopharmacology, and diagnosis/assessment classes, health assessment and then third year is clinicals with the core classes.  If you took the 2 year option then I am not sure.  I am about 3-4 hours away and I'm not sure where my clinicals would be but I'm okay with driving a little bit.  I saw clinical sites on their map of preceptors fairly close to me.  I did not see any in NYC and I looked because we were considering moving to the Bronx (Riverdale area).  I have two classmates who live in NYC so I will try and ask them and get back to you.

It's going well so far.  I have no huge complaints.  I'm about half way done.  I'm paying with my gi bill.   It is expensive for sure but the fact that you have preceptors provided is a huge benefit.

Thank you! Yes, them providing preceptors is a huge benefit. Congrats on getting halfway through. Wishing you much continued success.

So relieving to know the program is good.
Hopefully, getting clinical sites won’t be an issue.

was wondering, Was your orientation online?
I haven’t received any other information from them, just the welcome email.

Hi,

I was applying for the PMHNP program, however my GPA falls right below the 3.0 mark. Does anyone have information about GPA requirements for the program?

Hi,

Hope all is well! I have just applied for the PMHNP Summer 2021. Does anyone have any information on admission requirements specific to GPA. My GPA is slightly below 3.0 and I'm nervous this will affect my admission.

THANK YOU!

Can anyone give me the 2 and 3 year breakdown as far as classes are concerned? Thanks!
