I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!
Hey everyone! I just scheduled my interview with U of R today! :) Does anyone here know about the questions they ask and what not?
Congradulations, how did they contact you or did you contact them? Good luck and I would look on-line for admission questions. I am sure you are gonna do awesome.
Hey URhopeful,Thank you! I actually got a call from the admissions director today, she said I had the choice to do a phone interview or in person and I chose to do it in person, mines in two weeks. Good luck I hope you receive a call too:)
Thankyou Ali89 and best of luck. Are you going to have a phone or personal interview? My advice for preparation would be to ask/email someone who is already in the program from this site and ask them about what questions they ask and what they are looking for. Again CONGRADS
SyberianPuppy,
I'm graduating with a B.A. in health and human services and concentration in early childhood development. I have an overall GPA of 3.45 and a pre-req of 3.57. I'm sort of nervous though, I feel that because I haven't had much experience working in a health related field that might count against me.
*Does anyone know if they are interviewing everyone or just the people they are considering?

Hey Ali89,
I was also just wondering if you have completed all your pre-requesites? I have one left to complete. Let me know how your interview goes and best of luck to you:monkeydance:

So we have very similar stats. They are not interviewing everyone, but they are still interviewing many more than they plan on accepting. So getting an interview means you made it past step 1 at least (like maybe 400 apps down to 300 interviews? - just a guess)
Good luck to all of us. We should all use this thread to vent for the next 2 months, haha.

I am in an interdisciplinary program in psychology/mental health but I have more science course than anything else. I spent the first couple of years in the pre-pharmacy/pre-med program. Your GPA sounds impressive also and I am sure is very competitive. Are you from Rochester? I am also wondering if they are looking for a diverse class or if anything else weighs in the application process. For example, being a mature student, male, person of color, etc. I am quite confident that you will get an interview forsure and from the sounds of how you have responded, I think you will be incredible in the interview as well.
