Hi! I just wanted to make a thread for University of Rochester School of Nursing ABSN Spring 2015.

Did you guys have phone interviews?

Any of you guys receive any call/ email from the school yet?

I received my call at 9am but I was at work and received a second call at 12pm California time.

I would say try calling :)

Hello! Just received a call this morning about my acceptance into the program! I was looking to join the facebook group for the cohort, but I cant find it :(. Also, I'm from Maryland but have been living in Rochester for a year now so if you have any questions about the area please let me know!

Yes can you tell me what areas I should look for an appartment,condo, house.... I would like something safe, near campus, and shopping areas if possible. Is there a trader joes (FOOD STORE) out there LOL ... How expensive is rent?

Any information you can tell me would be great.

I really like the area I live in - its on N Goodman St but the area around East/Park Ave/Goodman/Alexander St is where a lot of students live (about 15 min from campus). There's a lot of restaurants, small shops, and bars. Since this area is popular the rent is a little higher - 600-900 a month for a one bedroom usually with utilities.

If you want a quieter area some grad students live on elmwood which is very close to campus. People also live in the suburbs of Brighton but thats a little further away.

There is a Trader Joes in Pittsford! Its in a nice shopping center area with tons of stores.
