Starting a thread for those applying to the University of Rochester ABPNN September 2018 start date. Anyone finished their applications yet?

I just made a phone call and found out that I got accepted. Nancy told me that they just made decisions and they will start calling everyone next.

She was kind, don't hesitate to call her if you would like to know.

How many people are put on the waitlist?

Called and was wait listed as well. Still have hopes for this program because a lot of people drop out or decline admission once they receive financial aid information. $68k is a big commitment. Best of luck to everyone!! Hope you get better news than I did!

Waitlisted here too! She told me that some years pretty much everyone on the waitlist ends up in the program, but other times they barely take anyone. It jsut depends on how many accepted people decide to attend. She said they'll be sending a letter out next week and those people waitlisted need to mark down that they want to be on the waitlist and send it back in. She also said to "have all your ducks in a row" just in case. She told me to make sure I have a physical within the past year and to call financial aid at UR to get things started just in case.

what happen if I don't do my financial aid will they reject me off the wait list? Do you think most likely we will be accepted from the wait list before September? I am upset and grateful at the same time because at least it is better than getting rejected.

I figure they have a yes or no date for all accepted applicants, which i assume will be in July, and then they'll start on the waitlist from there. I have no idea how they rank the waitlist though!

What happen if I don't complete my fasfa will I get rejected because I am planning to do my fafsa after I get accepted.

I don't think they care if you do fafsa or not, they just care that they get paid.

I finished all my pre-reqs and I am planning to take some courses at a community college during the summer. Should I send them a copy of my community college transcript?
