Just a heads up one of the advisors called me to set up a phone interview this wednesday =), mainly cause I'm coming from Cali, so exciting, lil nervous but ill take the time to practice an breathe. Good Luck to you all :-)

Good morning guys
I just had my phone interview with one of the faculty. It was a very nice and comfortable interview. what she asked was
1) how did you go from _______ to nursing?
2) why nursing?
3) what makes you a good fit for our program?
4) do you plan on working while enrolled as a student?
5) what healthcare experiences do you have?
6. Tell me about your experiences with nursing/ clinical and life experiences?
7. How do you handle stress?
8. Why U of R?
9. What are the three characteristics of a nurse?
10. What skills and attributes you can bring as a nurse?
I also asked her things about the program, fin aid etc and she was very nice and I think you will do very fine and I got a little nervous but I gave it my all. My interviewer also said that she is going to send the interview to the committee and they would either call/send a letter by the end of January.
Good luck to you allylyn and to everyone and please let me know how it goes :-)
I just finished my interview and it went really well. The lady was extremely nice and she asked almost all the questions that you said she'd ask. I can't wait until January now!

OMG that sounds really awesome, I am glad yours went well, yaayyy now on to the wait. We're that much closer to our future careers. I'm glad they accept students three times year. Also while I was crazy researching, U of R is ranked among the top nursing programs in the country. Hopefully well become classmates and best of luck to you :-).

Hi! I'm looking at applying for the ABPNN at U of R. Does anyone know what GPA, major, age, and experiences they are looking for. I completed all the pre-req's and I'm graduating in Dec 14'. I haven't been able to find anyone that was willing to share their background info who already has been accepted in the program! Any details would be GREAT!!
