Thought I'd start a thread for those applying to the U of R ABPNN/AMPNN programs for the May 2014 start. I went to undergrad nearby and had a wonderful experience volunteering at Strong and U of R is my first choice school for sure. I'm hoping to get accepted to the psychiatric speciality of the AMPNN program. Who else is applying?
hi all! I got a call this morning and I found out I was accepted into the BSN/MSN program for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty. I'm thrilled! I live in Seattle, so it's definitely far to move. But I am seriously considering it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!
Hi newmy123 I got my call the same morning, I was also accepted into the AMPNN program for the PNP specialty!!! I live in California, so it's also a really far move for me but I am very seriously considering it as well! I would love to hear your thoughts on the program/where else you applied?
Hi all!
I got accepted into the ABPNN program as well. I have never been to the Rochester area but plan on attending in May. Does anyone know of safe areas to look for apartments in? I also am thinking about getting an AWD or 4WD vehicle since they get 90+ inches of snow a year. Any thoughts on the necessity of that would be very helpful. I am from Ohio so, I am used to the snow but not that much. I am so excited for May to come!
Congrats to everyone!
I just got my package today too, but unfortunately I am not home to open it. I am only about 2 hours from Rochester though so those of you further away might not have it yet. In past cohorts they only had two weeks to accept or deny. I will definitely be attending I am so excited!
@cttruong that is not all bad news! Hopefully a spot opens for you! I know you can call and see what number you are on the wait list so you know where you stand.

Hi Nikkia....I think one of the rules about being on here, is NOT to give out advertising of any sort and not to post websites. Correct me if I'm wrong. But if anyone would like to PM me, I know Rochester well and can suggest housing that is reputable. :)
