Did anyone else apply by the Feb 15 priority deadline for Pitt? Looking at previous years it seems like they usually send out interview invites this week so here's hoping! :)

I got that email two days ago so I'd give it until the 10th?

Did you apply priority and interview back in April?

I applied priority and have not had an interview

so as far as we all know, no one has officially been accepted yet? pitt favors pitt graduates, they always have. I'm from pittsburgh and know plenty of pittsburgh locals who get in every year. I'm worried how my stats line up ?

guess I'll find out soon!

Pitts is very consistent, they go mostly by the applicants points regardless of where the applicant is from. What are your stats? They take a holistic approach so if you had an interview that means the play field is even.

I'm just going off of the Pittsburgh people I know that have been accepted/currently enrolled/graduated which feels like a lot each year.

I applied for the May 1st deadline. Cum GPA 3.5, BSN 3.9, 1yr Lvl 1 STICU (4yrs nursing), Statistics - A, Interview Committee, Skin Care Champion, CRNA Shadowing Experience, GRE 297/4.5 AWA (this is where I struggle). Taking my CCRN in August.

Your stats are great. I hear that they look at a GRE of 300 but I know a person that got in with less than you have right now. I hope you get in. Set yourself up with a great personal statement. I took a couple of grad level classes and am taking a couple more this Summer as well. Anything you can do to standout usually helps. Good luck with the CRNA exam. I think your GPA is good and your overall stats are good.

Thank you! I was looking at the Pitt DNP page and I no longer see them list a GRE score recommendation like it once did. I haven't looked into doing any Summer grad level classes, maybe I should do that! I was looking into taking some chemistry courses or something along those lines.

Most schools like to see Advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology. Those courses also transfer to the program so you don't have to take it again when admitted as long as it's taken from an accredited schools. Were you thinking about organic chemistry? I would definitely stick with a graduate level class or two. I got feedback from a program I didn't get into and that was the only suggestion they made
