University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

anyone knows how many students are in each clinical group??? what about the lab???

I think it depends on the size of your cohort. Ours started with 78 or so. And there were 9 clinical groups to start with. I think there were 9 in my group. - originally it was 8 and there were 10 total groups, but they split that last one. Each lab had 3 groups, so around 27 people, give or take one or two people of course.

I'm pretty sure its different for each cohort, but that gives you an idea of what the Fall 2008 start cohort had.

anyone got inexpensive insurance for the program? I am thinking under $50??? :)

Hi Roushel, Yes , I will probably go to the orientation. I took the toefl test yesterday. i didn't do good on the reading part:( ...so I don't know if I get the 100 points.. how long did it take for your score to show up in their website?

Hi Pegah ...sorry to hear you did not do well on that section. However, you might still get a score above 100 so dont get discouraged. It says on their site that you will get your score on Aug 7th so that is the day you will get it. It is posted the exact date they say it will. Good luck

They changed. Looking back I think it was a good thing, you learn things from different people. I love my original group, we still study together, much like other groups. But it was nice to spend entire clinical days with different people, too. I think I got lucky and loved each of my groups. So all 3 semesters were pretty tolerable. :)

Sorry, can't help with the insurance thing, I'm insured under the husband's plan from work.

I checked the website after 2 weeks but try checking after a week. I am sure you got more than 100.

Laura,

You purchased an ebook package with all of the textbooks in it? I was accepted into Glendale and they just gave us a huge list of the books we needed at open house. They never mentioned we could buy all of them (or most of them) in one purchase. Where can I buy or find out more info about the ebooks package? Thank you!!
