Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I applied Fall 09 to San Diego, I haven't received anything yet. But this is what I have heard the open House for SD is on the 21st of July goes from noon till 9pm, Orientation in the 12th and 13th of August. I have also heard the average lowest accepting GPA for SD is 3.1 with the average around 3.4 and 3.5. I did hear the lowest GPA they accepted in the summer was 3.3, which seems really high too me, I heard there are 171 applications and 65 places. Good luck to everyone, hope I found out soon. I really hope I make it but if I don't I will just keep taking classes increase my GPA and apply again.

I thought there were 200 applicants and 56 accepted for SD....24 or 28 for Glendale

Also my friend has a very high GPA and she is an alternate :(

if you dont mind how did you find out about orientation...it is great to know so i can arrange for child care...

Congratulations on those who got in!! I am still out of town so I wont be able to check my mail until tuesday and seeing how many people have already gotten in makes me all the more nervous.

Does anybody know if they looked at the undergrad GPA because mine is not so stellar although my pre reqs and sciences are all A's.

I asked the advisor at SD, she gave me all the details. I really hope I get in but I understand if I don't, my gpa is good, well I thought it was but know I am not so sure. Wow, I didn't know there were over 200 applications. That is crazy.

I heard they look at your cumulative GPA, your science GPA and most importantly your last 60 credits. That is the big one.

My I ask if you and your friend had above 3.5 GPA's? I am worried the bar is a little higher than I anticipated.

yeah my friend had over 3.7 GPA for last 60 credits :(

who knows their criteria this year :(

Wow! That is much higher than me, I am sure there are lots of factors though that go into their process of acceptance. Yep 9 hours, I heard, if you have a really recently completed your CPR you can leave at 6. 6 - 9 is the CPR course.

oh Thank you I just checked...I did not think we would get this info on a Sunday...so you were right about open house

if you got the email maybe it means you are accepted...
