Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To all of us who are waitung,
I just heard that the committee met on Thursday and they will send letters out on Wednesday. that means we'll know by the end of this week:yeah:, does any one know if they only send letter to accepted people or they send rejection letters as well?, I forgot to ask her..I can't wait anymore ,either way I want to know
They don't send out accept/reject emails anymore; you just have to hope your paper letter isn't lost in the mail!
Laura06baby, you did the right thing to call the person with all the answers! She's very friendly and helpful, but she can be extremely difficult to get ahold of because she is so busy (especially during high traffic times like immediately after letters are sent out). Poor woman is overworked! The person in charge of applications and actually sending out the letters can answer some questions, but I've never asked the other person a question she didn't know the answer to.
Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed!

I was told by someone in Glendale last Tues that the date letters are expected to be sent out was pushed back from July 8th to July 15th. I then spoke with someone in Oklahoma on Friday who said the admission committee had already met on Thursday (as originally planned for the July 8th mailing date), so I'm not sure which date it is anymore. Keep in mind that the letters would need an additional couple of days to actually get to your home though. Also, this is all information for Glendale (I'm not sure if it's the same for SD or not).
Merced0301,
Someone in Glendale said that they wouldn't count my second semester of chem as a prereq because the course description said "inorganic and organic chemistry" somewhere in it. Maybe you could read the description in your course catalog and see if the same thing is referenced? Even though it isn't part of my prereq GPA or last 60 hours GPA, it doesn't disappear from the committee's eyes. Of course nobody knows exactly how the committee decides who gets in and who doesn't, but it's not purely as simple as looking at those two GPAs and taking the highest applicants. I heard the committee skipped around more and did things slightly different than they had in the past when selecting summer admissions. Maybe where your degree was from or where you took your prereqs mattered? Maybe how many courses you've failed in your academic career were counted up? Maybe your certifications weighed in? I have absolutely no idea, but it's not just the two aforementioned GPAs that make the decision. Also, I'm pretty sure they want you to fill out the FAFSA because it determines your financial aid package. Hope that helps! Good luck!
