University Of San Francisco VANAP BSN FALL 2020

Hello everyone! This will be my 3rd attempt to apply in USFCA VANAP here in Sacramento! On my first try, I was still taking one of my major science classes, Ethics and Philosophy. The second one, I realized that my essays were horrible. I'm coming back with complete prerequisites and I hope my essays are better this time.

My GPA is not as competitive which is 3.2

However, I have a long experience in bedside care as I have been a CNA for more than 7 years and is now working at a University hospital taking care of Psych Patients for 3 years already.

I have no volunteer experience, but I am an active member of an organization that does medical missions in remote areas in the Philippines.

I'm looking forward to converse and share the anxiety (lol) with the rest of aspiring nursing students of this prestigious school!

Hey guys, when you look at your application page, is it showing all of your transcripts as being received? I show I am still missing one, but the school mailed it out on the 2nd. I know it says to allow for two weeks for processing, but I'm concerned that they haven't received it and I won't know until after the deadline date. I've tried sending an email to USF, but haven't received a reply. Thanks for the help.

Are you checking your application checklist on the application status page? Mine say received and

“my application is complete and is being reviewed by your admission counselor. Best of luck”

but I know on the common app it still says my transcripts have not been received. So I would go off the application checklist.

Thanks for the info! Yes, the application checklist. It shows the ones they have received, but they are still missing one. Where are you seeing the status of it being reviewed? Mine say that they need the transcripts in order to review.

Right under the bolded “application checklist” and above your list of transcripts. At the very bottom of the application page there should be an email for your counselor. I’d contact them since it’s getting close to the 15th.

I actually just heard back via email. If it's not uploaded by tomorrow, I'll have to request it again to be overnighted. Thanks again!

Hi! so are we still supposed to check the common app too?? because I am only (religiously) checking the application status page. Then it makes me confused because it says that Mr. M. M*les is my counselor, but I know he's for the main campus, and ours in sacramento campus is Mr. E. Bla*r. I try to hide their names because I heard it's not allowed to mention names here. ^_^

Your applications go through main campus first so that would be correct as to why he is your counselor. Only check the application status page ?

Yeah, I'm not checking common app. I checked it yesterday and it doesn't show any updates.

Hi-

I received an email telling me to make a login for the application status page. It’s also where they show what transcripts have been received and where you find out if you got accepted.

Anyone else feeling nervous now?? The application status page says

?Decisions will be finalized and mailed out starting mid-March.

hopefully, we don't have to wait much longer? or maybe that's just wishful thinking ?

I saw that too! But, I would be considered a transfer student as I have a lot of classes completed. Are you first-year or transfer? I found this on their site for transfer students:

Deadline to apply March 1

All transcripts must be received by March 15

Decision notification begins April 1

Reply/Deposit date within two weeks of offer
