University Of Maryland CRNA 2022

Just submitted an application. Figured I'd start the next thread to get some information. I've read a ton of information on previous years about interviews. Is it really only 20 minutes long with a test at the beginning?

No I don’t think so ? usually they send out interviews to 100 plus people than narrow down to 30-32. It’s my second round applying. Don’t give up. I was definitely heart broken when I found out I didn’t get in. But be involved. Be apart of projects mentoring educating precepting etc. my GPA isn’t the top but I compensated by being highly involved in the hospital. Sell yourself we all worked so hard to get here. DO NOT GIVE UP!

? did you find out you were rejected after everyone else was accepted?

@purugas Congratulations! You should definitely be proud . I’m not sure what else they are looking for, I even took nrsg 790 and nrsg 795 from their DNP CRNA program , shadowed , GPA over 3.5. As it stands I’m not sure what their algorithm is and the fact that they haven’t reached out to inform other applicants about their status or give any info is just disheartening. Not sure what to improve on or what exactly is the weak spot

I don’t know the algorithm myself. I just proved to them how I improved and spoke from my heart. Being involved in the hospital with EBP projects and QI projects helped me personally. Could reach out and ask how you can improve? I didn’t do that last year

@purugas definitely will reach out to them if I have to

@purugas

Hi! I was also accepted for the Summer 2022. Quick question, we are just waiting for Rose to email us with further instructions right? Sorry, I was so excited during my call that I want to make sure I didn’t need to email them or do anything else right now. Thanks!

mine still says 'Committee Review'.  You applied last year too right? were you waitlisted? I was just wondering if it will say something else if its waitlisted.

at this moment, I don't even know what is better. To get a rejection email, or the waiting. -,-...

as the looks of it, seems like I didn't get in.

butttt just say it already. hahaha don't play with my emotions. haha
