Just submitted an application. Figured I'd start the next thread to get some information. I've read a ton of information on previous years about interviews. Is it really only 20 minutes long with a test at the beginning?

Also quick question how do you know there are two rounds of interviews?

I don’t LOL but it would make sense that if they don’t fill all of their spots after the first set of interviews, that they would have a second set of interviews. It’s my first choice but can’t assume it’s everyone’s first choice so for folks who get into more than one school, they may not choose Maryland even if they receive an acceptance and with that said, that would be a seat to be filled. 
 

This is all hopeful speculation considering I haven’t been invited yet but I also haven’t been rejected either.

That is true. It is also my first choice. And I applied last year as well. I’m thinking of applying to other schools to be on the safe side as well.

Just got a call from UMD and I got in! Apparently they called Friday and I didn’t pick up cuz it was a Virginia number LOL

Who called you? The director or the committee?

I just called the admissions office and she said she doesn’t who gets admitted or not.
so she can’t really help me with an update on my application ??‍♀️

I’m so happy for all of you that have been accepted! Can’t help but feel sad that I haven’t heard anything yet though ? I’m at work today- can anyone call and ask if interview invites are still being sent out?

No I don’t think so ? usually they send out interviews to 100 plus people than narrow down to 30-32. It’s my second round applying. Don’t give up. I was definitely heart broken when I found out I didn’t get in. But be involved. Be apart of projects mentoring educating precepting etc. my GPA isn’t the top but I compensated by being highly involved in the hospital. Sell yourself we all worked so hard to get here. DO NOT GIVE UP!
