University Of Maryland CRNA 2021

Hello everyone! I just have been getting ahead of myself but decided to start this thread for people looking to apply to University of Maryland's CRNA program for the Summer of 2021. I have been very nervous but excited. CRNA school has always been the goal so crossing my fingers and wishing everyone looking to apply lots of luck! We got this ?

In the meantime, feel free to keep me company here as I wait 6 months for applications to even be due.

Do you have a clinical educator that could possibly write you a reference? , if not I still think it will be okay, if they can say good things about you. Also, if you have shadowed a CRNA (hope you have) you could try to get a reference from that person. I was nervous to ask the people I shadowed bc I didn’t know them that well, but they were surprisingly very willing to write one bc they understood the struggle of applying — wouldn’t hurt to ask if you say its a requirement for the application (which it is for some apps). I say this bc it could have a greater impact/make you memorable. NP’s are a completely different speciality etc..but like I said I don’t think it would negatively impact your application.

I have no idea what they are thinking for interviews. I do know all of our classes are online right now, and all of our didactic classes in the fall will be online, with small groups coming in for simulation. — I wouldn’t be surprised if it was via zoom based on that.

I just submitted my application for the 2021 Summer cohort last week. Now the wait begins...LOL. Any insight to the interview process? I have heard mixed info of course.

Small world LOL. Yes, I have an interview coming up next week there. I also applied to BC. Not their last MSN program, but the DNP cohort. So I won't be hearing from them for a bit.

I have an interview with them next week as well and I am nothing less than terrified about it. I decided to not apply to BC but if we both get in to wherever, I will look forward to meeting you!

Hahaha keep me posted if you hear anything from there too. I applied there about 3 weeks ago. Northeastern is my third interview. Is this your first one?

I will for sure! I applied whenever the application open in July. Third? That's awesome! CONGRATS. Where have you interviewed? Yeah Northeastern will be my first so I don't even know how to prep.
