I'm currently in the program in my first year. Acceptance letter were sent out early to mid March last year and we started the second week of May with an orientation The program does assist with clinical placement and has a list of already approved sites. Personally, I sought out my own clinical sites only because I had some contacts and wanted to be placed in locations close to home. Overall the program is great with a lot of support from faculty. They truly want to see each and every student succeed.
Thanks for your response. I have been searching schools and UNG seems to be what I am looking for. So excited to hear you are having a positive experience. I have been looking at online and brick and mortar schools leaning towards UNG. I like having actual class time over recorded lectures. Are they swamped with applications each year is it a very hard school go get into. I have 3.8 GPA and 11 years experience.
The amount of applications received each year has steadily increased according to what I was told. I believe the year I applied they received approx 70 applications for 30 seats so the program is competitive to say the least. Your stats look similar to mines so I'd say you have an excellent chance of getting in.

Did you end up doing the program? I am considering the post-masters FNP. It's been an endless game of phone tag thus far.

I decided to hold off due to life/work balance at the time. I am reconsidering for next year, however!
This is an older thread but I would love to hear from some of the original students who posted here and attended the program. I am in the process of applying for this upcoming year. I would love to know more about anyone's experience: working full time in the part time program, hours of in-person class per week (Tues/Thurs), anything about the part time vs. the full time program, etc.
Thanks!
