Hey everyone!
It's a little early but I'm already anxious about applying for UNG's nursing program this Spring 2017 to start the program 2018! I thought I'd start a thread for those of you also applying to maybe share scores, and study tips! I currently have a 3.5 gpa and am taking the HESI in March! I'm excited to hear from everyone!
Congrats on your acceptance to the program! Have y'all gotten your Fall schedule yet? I was wondering if you could tell us what the first semester looks like? How many days/hours on campus per week?I'm already trying to figure out how to balance school and work (Positive thinking since I haven't even been accepted yet! LOL!)
Congratulations everybody!!! As for Fall, we will have 4 classes (Informatics, Foundations, Health Assessment, and Patho) for a total of I believe 13 credits. We have class on Mondays and Wednesdays from about 9am to 3:30pm. However, we were told we would have an additional Lab day on one of the other days off, as well as clinical days once that starts. We were warned that we would be on campus or at clinicals likely 4 days of the week, sometimes 5.
Also, we are expected to meet at the Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses for various events (for example, clinical days are at Dahlonega but simulations are at Gainesville). But all of your classes will be on the campus at which you were accepted.
I'm planning on working as a home care CNA and sitter for an individual family about 2 days a week for 12-16 hours, and probably won't be doing much more than that my first semester since I'm not sure what to expect!
Congratulations to everyone! I got accepted to the Gainesville campus as well! I would like to join the FB page, but I need help finding it.
Congratulations!! Is it not bringing any groups up when you start typing UNG Nursing Spring 2018 Cohort - Gainesville? That's the title of the group.
