University of MN CRNA 2019 interviews?

Hello everyone

I am wondering if there is anyone else who has submitted an application to the CRNA program at University of Minnesota to start 2019.

I submitted and received an email that they were reviewing applications and interviews would be the 3rd week of October.

I am just curious if anyone else applied, and has anyone heard from them to schedule an interview yet. One of the other programs I applied to extended an interview invite within a few days of applying. Not sure how long they review applications for.

Thanks!

It really is. I'm within driving distance, but its about 6 hours one way. I imagine for people who are further away it must be really difficult! Flights aren't cheap. Hopefully we all hear something soon.

Just received an invite. Anyone else?

Just received a rejection, but sounds like they are sending out invites today too.

Should have scheduled my CCRN for the week before submission deadline, not the week after! Oops

Good luck to everyone who gets an interview.

I just got a rejection email too. Frustrating! I have CCRN but only about 1 year of ICU experience. I did really well on the GRE but UMN doesn't look at GRE scores, so I think that hurt me.

I'm sorry, Ash. Was Minnesota your first choice?

Denver, keep your chin up. So far, I have found the selection process for invites to be baffling. I'm sure one of your other choices will extend an invitation.

Thanks. So far I've got an interview at Bryan College but I've been rejected from UMN and Clarkson. Still waiting to hear from Wake Forest and Minneapolis School of Anesthesia.

Thankfully UMN wasn't my first choice. I live in Chicago and am waiting to hear from Rush and will submit to Rosalind Franklin as well.

I have a high GPA, graduated from a top BSN program, 3 years CVICU experience, 3 years trauma/level 1 ED experience, and multiple certifications. I just never took the time our to do the CCRN and didn't think it would be that big of a deal since I was taking it in the near future. I guess some people don't pass their CCRN though! I did average on the GRE on the math portion, above average on the rest.

I think the right program is out there for all of us, and I'm going to keep moving forward.

I agree with you completely! As for, I specifically rejected any program that want the GRE. I'm already in a master's program and had no interest in prepping for another test, lol.

I've heard good things about Rush!

Familiar story! Got the rejection email, but i interview at Bryan and Mount Marty.

Hi, I applied to the program and received an interview offer. I am interested to know what kind of interview they do? any clinical questions? Other general tips about the interview. Panel interview or not? I interview in two weeks. Please help. Thanks fr your assistance.

I also got an interview! Good luck everyone!
