  1. I'm looking for any feedback on Minneapolis School of Anesthesia, as far as how well the program prepares people to do well on exams and practice right out of the gate with confidence. I am already committed to Rush's program to start this fall in Chicago, where I currently live. I was also offered a spot at MSA, and am strongly considering the move to Minneapolis for this program. It is only 2 years compared to Rush's 3 years, and is dramatically cheaper. From what I have heard the master's degree doesn't make a difference for finding a job at this point in time, versus getting the DNP from Rush. If there is anyone with feedback on here I would appreciate it. Thanks!
  2. Thankfully UMN wasn't my first choice. I live in Chicago and am waiting to hear from Rush and will submit to Rosalind Franklin as well. I have a high GPA, graduated from a top BSN program, 3 years CVICU experience, 3 years trauma/level 1 ED experience, and multiple certifications. I just never took the time our to do the CCRN and didn't think it would be that big of a deal since I was taking it in the near future. I guess some people don't pass their CCRN though! I did average on the GRE on the math portion, above average on the rest. I think the right program is out there for all of us, and I'm going to keep moving forward.
  3. Just received a rejection, but sounds like they are sending out invites today too. Should have scheduled my CCRN for the week before submission deadline, not the week after! Oops Good luck to everyone who gets an interview.
  4. It really is. I'm within driving distance, but its about 6 hours one way. I imagine for people who are further away it must be really difficult! Flights aren't cheap. Hopefully we all hear something soon.
  5. Has anyone heard anything? I sent an email today to follow up.
  6. It won't be. They will do a presentation, a tour, then the interviews. There is less waiting around, which is what they told our group. Good luck!
  7. Thanks for the info. Good luck on your interview!
  8. I received the same one. It was worded similarly to the first email I received from them. Hopefully this means something soon!
  9. Is your interview for entrance 2019 already? Do you know if they do rolling interviews? I was going to apply in October after I hear back from some other programs, but now I may just get my application in.
  10. I can't believe this post has 1144 views! Wow!
  11. I applied a few hours before the deadline, and received the email about interview dates on August 6th. I saw on another thread here that last year interview invitations were extended September 19th, so maybe next week?
  12. Anyone hear any updates? I've received nothing.
  13. Have you heard any additional information about the content of the written test, like what math to focus on? Is it clinical scenarios/drug calculations? I had heard there was a math test and questions as well, but no additional info. See you on the 7th.
