Hi All,

I didn't see a thread for Umich's Primary Care DNP programs for fall of 2020 and was wondering if anyone applied before the early application deadline of Jan. 15th. Anyway... just a thread for us to enjoy the anticipation of the admission decision wait game together ☺️ Good luck to everyone!!

@BW2020 Thank you ?

I applied for the CNM Thursday. I have't even got Kira interview yet and people are saying on here, they got it the same day - now I am freaking out!

Hello @missmaddie

I got my invitation to Kira video assessment same day I submitted my application.

I feel the Kira assessment is part of the application because, it was stated on the email that my application will be incomplete without it.

As long as all necessary requirements were submitted you should get your Kira invite.

I hope this helps. All the best.

Checking-in to say "Hi!" and congratulate everybody who was accepted! I was accepted into the AGAC-DNP program back in mid-March. A few quick hints/insights:

- I applied prior to the early admission deadline and received notification for the Kira interview within 24hrs.
- The Kira interview is a portion of the application process.
- I DID NOT receive an in-person interview, so like many of you, I was freaked out by it. I've since rationalized that they must have liked my application and virtual interview enough to accept me without an in-person interview.

For those waiting to hear back in the next few weeks, my fingers are crossed for you. I'm interested to see how the fall semester shapes up considering everything that is going on. Finally, GO BLUE!

Hey everyone! I just received my acceptance letter to UM FNP fall 2020

Does anyone know if it’s difficult to find a job after? Makes me a little nervous from what I’m hearing.

Hey Sarah,

The job market really depends on where you are looking to get hired. If you would like to be connected to people who can give you a better idea, I would suggest joining the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners at the University of Michigan. It is a great way to get your foot in the door of a practice.

Hey everyone!

I just applied to the U-M online MSN-FNP program for Fall 2021, and I have to complete my Kira Talent interview this week. I am in the process of preparing and just wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any tips or suggestions.

Thank you!

I believe Kira has practice interviews on their website. I would also become familiar with the Nurse Practitioner core competencies and try to implement them into your answers as much as possible. Think about why you want to become a nurse practitioner, why you're choosing UofM, why FNP vs other focuses.

@mcjobsonThank you for your quick reply and suggestion! I will definitely take all of that into account and start practicing with Kira talent.

Hey guys! I know this was from last year but I wanted to ask about when you guys received your admission decision?
I applied for the DNP in midwifery, took the KIRA on the 12th and haven't heard anything else yet!

Also, for those who applied for midwifery, any tips? Any advice? How many students do they accept?

Hi! Second week of March you will get an email ! I know waiting is the hard part! I think our acceptance rate last year was around 50% even higher if you apply to DNP. Good Luck:)

The waiting is killing me haha but I am so excited! If we do not get in, are we also notified in March? or just waitlisted until June?

Thank you for your response ?
