University of Miami 2020

Anyone applied for University of Miami this year?

@csrnurse that is true but you could still be in consideration for the whole time but receive a rejection letter around the beginning of October (going off previous UM ABSN threads). I applied to Northeastern in Boston, waiting on USF window to open, and other out of state schools.

@isj17oh wow really? I asked Anna if I could expect to get a response by the end of August, and she said that would be plenty of time. I don't live in Florida, UM is the only school I looked at in that state. I also applied to Hopkins, but it's super expensive. UMass also has an affordable ABSN program

@csrnurse yeah, I asked the same thing, but I got one real response and the rest generic, and it's now been four months since I applied and been placed on hold twice so holding on to it by a smidge of hope along with riding this wave of the application process. I looked at those programs as well in which they are pretty well rounded with clinical rotations.

@isj17 oh man I've only been waiting for like 3.5 weeks, wow

Hey guys! Do you guys know anything specific about UM's ABSN program? Like how the clinicals are, how many days a week we have classes, etc.

Did anyone else just apply?

I plan on submitting my application this week

Hey guys!

I applied yesterday (Sunday) and received an email today saying that my application is ready for review, and that I should get an email with my Cane link information soon. Already stressing a lot. I also applied to FIU, but I guess it’ll take longer to hear back from them, even though their program starts in October. For those of you accepted, how much is the deposit ? And congrats! ???

Specializes in Tele Nurse.

Deposit is a $1000 and you have two weeks after you received your admission certificate to pay it. Wish you the best

Jesus! That’s a lot of moneyyyyyy lol do you know if it goes towards the 40 K you also have to pay or is it an additional fee? Thank you for replying so fast ?
