I know that it’s super early, but the application JUST opened up this past Saturday February 1st, so I thought I’d start up a thread.

I submitted my application on the 1st and I’m wishing all of you the best of luck!

Hello everyone!
Congratulations to those who have been accepted and good luck to those that are still waiting!
I was just accepted this morning and found out through CaneLink. I received the email a few hours later.
I currently reside in Tampa, FL and will need to find housing and a roommate! I have no clue if there are dorms as an option or if I'm better off finding off-campus housing. Is anyone experienced in finding housing, this will be the first time I'll be away from home!

Has anyone else been recently accepted? It's been a couple of days since I got the email that said they are reviewing my application and was wondering if maybe the will send out all decisions by August 1st.

My application got put on hold ? not sure how I feel about it.. feels kind of discouraging

On another note, have any previous students posted what to expect and what the program is like?

That’s a good question haha. And can we have people who have been accepted, share their stats if they are okay with doing so?

I have an overall GPA of 3.78 and I cannot remember my pre-req GPA but I believe I received mostly A's, a few A- and a few B's. I do have clinical experience but it was from a few years ago. I also listed my previous but expired certifications for CPR and EKG Tech. I'm not sure what the SONHS looks for specifically but they may look at students as a whole. I was unsure if I was going to get in or not, but never downplay your chances!

Has any heard anything about the HESI exams we apparently have to take at the end of our first semester? I'm not familiar with the exam and I wonder why it's required for us!

Hello! I got an email last week saying “Our admission personnel are now working on your file.“ That email also came with my CaneLink information. I’ve checked every single day since and have not received any updates. Today I finally called and they said to give them more time due to the recent circumstances related to hurricane Isaias, etc. so I’m still waiting to hear back. I’m getting kinda nervous.

How long did it normally take for those that got accepted?

Oooof okay... hopefully that means we will hear something like today Hahaha. I’ve been checking the portal like every 10 minutes. Hate it ugh.
