Hi Everyone!

I know that it’s super early, but the application JUST opened up this past Saturday February 1st, so I thought I’d start up a thread.

I submitted my application on the 1st and I’m wishing all of you the best of luck!

Yes I’ve been waiting for a response too, I’m so nervous!! I turned my application in May, so I’m waiting because my application was placed on hold for further review!! Let me know if anyone hears anything!?

My application was placed on hold too! I emailed them when it happened and they said it’s completely normal... but I hate the unknown.. hoping for the best!

Yess same here. I even recently called them and they said we should be getting a response in August so I’m patiently waiting now, hoping to hear something back soon!!

I’m starting to lose hope and patience LOL.. I have no experience in health care and my GPA isn’t competitive

For those, like myself, who are waiting to hear back: I called again today to check if they have received my verified transcripts and I spoke to a representative who during our conversation said they have over 100 applications to go over so to allow them more time to make a decision. Hoping for the best!

Ugh. Hopefully we hear something soon. Did they say when the next round of decisions will be?

Hey guys I received my acceptance this morning. I submitted my application on the 24th of July and two days ago it said my application was complete on August 4th. I thought it was pretty fast considering I just got an email saying the decision will take 2-3 weeks.

CONGRATS that’s awesome!!

where can I go to see where it says if mine is completed or not? I have my canelink but nothing says incomplete or complete

you go on the cane link website and you will see main menu at the top left, then click self service and then student admission

Yes my stats were:

- 3.65 prerequisite GPA still pending nutrition

- 3.55 cumulative GPA from FIU

- Experience: I work as an EMT in the ER full-time for about 1 year now around (1750 hours), EMT course includes clinical hours and rides with MDFR (300 hours), I was a medical scribe full-time in the ER for around a year (1450 hours), shadowed a nurse (250 hours), did volunteering at Nicklaus (180 hours), and participated in a lot of extracurriculars at FIU (100 hours).

Hello! Yesterday I received an email saying the admission committee is reviewing my application and that it will take 2-3 weeks, similar to what you said you received. I applied July 26th, so I am hoping I get a response sometime next week. Thank you for keeping us updated!
