Thread for those applying to UM FNP Fall 2017

That's impressive! Honestly I believe I'm a 3.3 in general I might be higher if they only consider my bsn. But I'm hoping I'll hear from them too  what is your experience? I currently work at cardiac unit and this October I'll have 3 years experience! I'm hoping that'll help. I've been even reading a exam prep for arnp because I'm that serious of wanting this :bookworm:

I work in a medical ICU, will be three years in September. I think they have a few rounds of interviews. So just keep checking your Emil!

Im really hoping to get in

that's amazing! I'm hoping not to many want to apply because it requires to be without work for a year! Do you live in miami? If i get in i'll be looking for a roommate! But I'm sure you'll get in considering your experience and gpa

I'm sure there won't be as many applicants for the full time as there is for part time. They are interviewing 28 people during this round of interviews.

& yes I live in Miami- moved in with my parents

I spoke to someone and they said they're going to be calling the second round of interviews  I'm hoping I'll get in but I doubt it considering I feel like they would have called me already since I've applied in October but keep me updated everyone!

I got called for my interview for the FNP program. So I got my fingers crossed. I hear clinical questions are asked during the interview process.

Congrats! Please keep me updated

Stay positive! I'm sure you'll get an interview

Got invited to an interview! super nervous about the patho and pharm questions. any idea what they might ask?

I have read the previous posts but didn't get too much information. One said they asked about CHF, another said fever, and also that the questions will depend on your experience and which field you work in...

I'm an RN will less than 1 year of experience, GPA 3.5, but I guess since I got into the 1st round of interviews, I might have a chance

Super jealous! I'm wondering if it's because I'm still working on my bachelor's degree they're not considering me í ½í¸” but congrats! I'm sure you'll do fine. I'm trying too stay positive when are you guys scheduled for interviews?

jcort91, when are you graduating with your BSN?
