Currently applying as well...
does anyone have CCRN... not sure if I should be studying for it so it looks better on application. Currently not in ICU position.
I Don't have the CCRN, but I believe in order to get the CCRN you need ICU hours worked. don't quote me on that but when I was working on getting it I remember reading that. however, when I shadowed the CRNAs I asked how helpful it is to have it. its not an easy test and it takes time to study for it. she told me its literally a nice decoration to your resume because when you're in CRNA school and obviously not working as an ICU nurse you don't meet the ICU hours to renew the certification ( so technically you lose the whole thing). so it's up to you! I have friends in the program that didn't get it and still got in.

Hi all,
Out of curiosity, why did you choose to apply to UM? I am from out of state and am not 100% familiar with the local hospitals or how UM functions. I would love to hear why you guys choose to apply to this program specifically. Thanks.
The healthcare programs in UM have a reputation for being organized and we'll structured. I personally have more then a few friends who are currently in their CRNA program and love it and felt that the school is very good at transitioning students back to a full time program/back to school rhythm after being out of school for however long. When it comes to the hospitals UM has their own community hospital and they are also partnered with one of the top trauma centers in the region which is jackson memorial hospital and ryder trauma center. I do not know the exact details of their rotations/ clinical sites tho.

Hey guys, does anyone know if ACLS must be submitted before deadline? having a hard time finding places to take the class at due to COVID
I would go on the AHA and check if they gave extensions to current certifications due to the whole covid situation. They did that when things started to shut down and stuff.
