University of Miami CRNA Program- Spring 2024

Published

Hello guys! I haven't been able to find a forum for this upcoming cohort. I just finished submitting my application a few days ago and just recently received my canelink credentials. How's everyone else rolling along?

Specializes in Multisystem ICU, CCRN.

Question! Does your application say "completed" or "verified" under your status through NursingCAS?

Under my application on canelink it says completed.

Specializes in CICU/MICU.

Mine says verified. I believe it must be completed and then verified.

That's what I just realized. Thank you.

Not a problem ☺️

My nursingcas application says verified.

GL to everyone! I also applied to this program ?

I also applied, but made the decision to do so last month. Probably should have strengthened my GPA so I doubt I will get an interview... but I'm still hopeful ?

Good Luck everyone!

I am in the same spot as you. My GPA is just a 3.0. But being hopefull

I believe my overall is 3.33 or around there. I do have a good amount of nursing experience, so I'm hoping they look past my GPA and focus more on my experience ??

Same boat. Have a 3.4 overall, 3.95 BSN, 3.85 ASN, however my science GPA transferred in as a 2.85??? With the natural sciences they calculate every single science course you've ever taken, even one's that don't pertain to nursing at all. Even failed classes and withdraws. So it doesn't honor grade forgiveness? Other schools have specific classes that they look at for your science GPA. So even though my science GPA for FIU is a 3.85 it's a 2.85 for UM? It seems like they look at all sciences. I emailed Mrs. Medina and she said they utilize the NursingCAS GPA. So I more than likely won't get an interview either, just focusing on other schools at this point.

Great insight Jenna! Your ASN and BSN GPA's are solid! Can't see any school not wanting to accept someone with those grades or at the minimum give them an interview. What and where do I find the NursingCAS GPA?

What other programs are you applying to?
