Hello guys! I haven't been able to find a forum for this upcoming cohort. I just finished submitting my application a few days ago and just recently received my canelink credentials. How's everyone else rolling along?

So sorry you're going through this with your husband ? CRNA school is definitely a huge commitment and it's so important to have a good support system to get you through. Do you feel like it would be better for the long run to stay local?

I do, but I'm also getting burnt out of working in ICU and want to me done. On top of being worried I won't pass the math portion on GRE. If I don't take GRE my only option is UM or Keiser.

Have you tried the GRE before?…you never know

I currently have a little over 2 years experience in Neuro ICU, my overall GPA was 3.86, did my Ccrn, charge nurse/preceptor and some community services. Then other certifications like PALS and ACLS.

I feel you on this GRE predicament. And the ICU burnout. I am fine with nursing math and stats but was never strong in algebra and this quantitative type reasoning. Don't know that I would do well.  I'm sorry about the issue with your husband. To anyone moving from far, I'm a local and can help with any questions you guys have or what not if that helps any. Do you live much more north in florida?

Specializes in CTICU.

@Ellabsn I've studied it and it's very overwhelming. I didn't practice math questions and barely passed my math classes in high school and it feels like I'm relearning years of math. I'm going to still try though

Must be frustrating having to do it especially if there's an option not to. I personally chose to apply to schools that's didn't require it as well. But like you said, might as well try.

I live in St.Pete. Tampa Bay Area. My stats are 2 years 4 months CTICU, MICU, GPA 3.1 ASN, 3.73 BSN, CCRN, PALS, ACLS, BLS, member to Diversity CRNA and AACN. I also taught about nursing as a profession for elementary students during Great American Teach in. I also have  previous LPN 4/12 years, and CNA 7 years. Not that LPN and CNA matter but I let them know I have many years in healthcare LOL.

I interviewed on 3/29. Received the email from Casey that she would no longer be the point of contact. Did everyone who interviewed receive that? I wish they would start sending out denials already. The waiting is just awful LOL. Everyone who interviewed, what's your thoughts? Does it seem like they already made admission decisions?
