University of Miami accelerated program spring 09

Anyone accepted to the 2009 summer start accelerated program? Also, anyone with any information on the program such as hours, days, etc.?

I need help! How do you send a private message on this website? Am i that computer illiterate or does anyone else have this question?

More importantly, my plan to commute to UM via Tri Rail has been foiled. They are cutting service by 30-50% in June. This means I need to find housing and find it fast! How do I go about this? Should I make several appointments? Should I drive around the area and look for something? Do you suggest any websites?

This is much too overwhelming for me! Please give me some suggestions! Thank you

I'd recommend looking on Craigslist for an apartment. You could also spend a day with a Realtor who specializes in rentals.

Hey guys. I'm in Miami!!! woohooO!!!! I just got here today..staying in a hotel and move into my new place tomorrrow. I'm psyched. Campus is huge! I did manage to find the nursing school though...but not sure I can find my way back. Does anyone know where we are supposed to meet/go for orientation on Monday? I got the schedule, but no info on location. Also, anyone else here yet? Want to meet for drinks tomorrow night?

i know there are several studios that people rent out close to campus. They come furnished and are relatively cheap compared to other places. Did you find something yet?

You should be able to send a pm now since you have the minimum number of posts required (15). Try again. You may send a private message to a member by clicking the 'Send New Message' link in the private messaging section of your user control panel, or by clicking the page_edit.gif 'Send a Private Message' icon that appears in a member's posts when you click on their username.

Also.....please remember not to post email addresses on the public board. This is for your protection. It is much safer to utilize the private message function.

Where do we meet on Monday for Orientation? In front of the nursing building? I have no idea.

The orientation schedule they gave us says room 106. So i'm guessing it's at the nursing building first floor. Hope this helps :)
