University of Miami accelerated program spring 09

Anyone accepted to the 2009 summer start accelerated program? Also, anyone with any information on the program such as hours, days, etc.?

Hi everyone. I'm beginning the accelerated program in May and I was just wondering if anyone has any information on books. Anyone know the titles or approximately how much they will cost?

Someone suggested that we call the bookstore... and that is what I will do...

Reddingmedical.com is offering $10.00 laser engraving on stethoscopes AND shipping is only $10.00 compared to $18.95 that I saw on other sites. I have read and heard alot about the Littmann Classic SE II.. thats the one I got.. the word is that it's a solid choice for new nursing students.

I'm getting excited!! I havebt been able to get a full night's sleep in 4 nights!!!!!!!!!!! :yawn:

I also ordered the littmann classic II SE. I ordered mine from steeles.com. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet so hopefully it is nice. Also, about the books...I just got an e-mail from UM with our orientation schedule as well as a list of the books we need to buy. I'm so excited but getting nervous. How bout you guys?

Littmann classic II SE here as well (and the color is...well, pretty obvious by my username, ). My mom works at a physician's office so she recommended it.

Did anyone call to get specs on shoes to see if we can have tennis shoes

No, but ordered all white nike shox classics (mens actually hehe, just ordered 1.5 sizes down) from eastbay.com...anyways, not a speck of gray, all white... and they are super comfy, so hopefully they're allowed..

*UPDATE* I just figured out (on bn.com) that you can substitute ISBNS 9780323026321 AND 9780323029285 for ISBN 9780323026314!!! (It's the Textbook Calculate with confidence & drug calc online code with guide BUNDLE)

Hello..

I bought most of the books on-line last night. They were all between $30- $50. The bundle package is cheaper to buy seperate online.

The only book I did not purchase is Fundamentals of Nursing 7E and the Skills CD to go with it. I'll prob buy it later today or tommorrow.

Does anyone live in Broward or Palm Beach? Anyone want to car pool for the Orientation?

Do we need to put books on hold at the bookstore or we can just go pick them during orientation?

Kimberly....those are exactly the shoes I ordered. They make my feet look like puffy marshmallows though hahah. The letter said "white leather" shoes....and these shoes are white leather, so I don't think there should be a problem.
