Hello :)
I am kind of early with this thread, but I am pretty excited about the possibility of starting nursing school in May! Anybody else out there considering UM's ABSN program for summer 15? Also, anybody that has gotten in the program if you don't mind sharing helpful information, please do! I will still have 3 outstanding pre-reqs that I am registered to take in Spring. My cum GPA & pre-req GPA without those last 3 classes will be a 3.3 for both. I think I have a fair chance, could be better! (and will be once I finish pre-reqs) But anyway, share your thoughts about this program if you are considering as well! & good luck :)
Hello everyone! I am new to the site and found out that I have been accepted to this program! :-) I found out last Thursday on my canelink account, but haven't received my acceptance packet in the mail yet. Does anyone know how long we have to accept or decline our admission? I have an interview at Jefferson and University of Rochester for the fall and am hoping I'll have enough time to find out if I get in anywhere else before I have to accept the admission to Miami. Thank you!!

Hi Laurie, congratulations! Honestly I'm not sure I think I might have read somewhere that you have 2 weeks, hopefully someone will correct me if i'm wrong. Since you haven't received your acceptance packet I just wanted to let you know there is a bunch of things to get done in these 5 weeks before we start school. FBI background check/drug screen (can take weeks), updated immunizations, summer financial aid applications/loans, BLS/CPR certification, etc. I know you're waiting on your other acceptances but just wanted to let you know some of the many things we're all getting done right now! So hopefully you hear back soon so you can make a decision & get on these things! Good luck :)
To those that have been admitted, how are you receiving the info? Through email, mail or on canelink?
Acceptance information was through email from the school of nursing saying a decision was made & to check my cane link to see it.
Information on all the clinical requirements came in an email 5 days after for me. You're supposed to get a letter from the school of nursing for clinical reqs but I still haven't received mine so I'm glad they sent out an email
I hope that's what info you were referring to :)
For everyone asking about the incomplete app on cane link. I called and the lady said everyone who applied through nursingcas our application will show incomplete because nursingcas is not compatible with canceling. So if you know for sure you turn in everything them no worries. I'm still waiting, she told me a decision has been made and they will contact me. So I'm assuming in the next batch that they are sending out.

Same here:) Hopefully it's in the mail the next few days!
