University of Miami Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

Hello :)

I am kind of early with this thread, but I am pretty excited about the possibility of starting nursing school in May! Anybody else out there considering UM's ABSN program for summer 15? Also, anybody that has gotten in the program if you don't mind sharing helpful information, please do! I will still have 3 outstanding pre-reqs that I am registered to take in Spring. My cum GPA & pre-req GPA without those last 3 classes will be a 3.3 for both. I think I have a fair chance, could be better! (and will be once I finish pre-reqs) But anyway, share your thoughts about this program if you are considering as well! & good luck :)

I am! Spoke to the office on Wednesday and they told me I'll know by next week, and if not, to call them:D fingers have never been more crossed!!

Anyone STILL waiting? This is the week I was told I would find out, so I'm checking my CaneLink constantly haha. Is that the most updated/quickest way to find out on the decision?? Thanks and good luck to everyone and congrats to those already in!!

Yep! I'm still waiting to hear. I think we got verified or maybe applied around the same time? Maybe that has something to do about it or they're waiting to hear back from those accepted in case it opens up some seats?

Possibly. Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Hoping to hear ASAP, but if not by Friday afternoon, I think I'll call again. Hoping to get accepted there and dealing with subleasing my current place, moving, finding a new place, etc. is not a quick process...need enough time!

I was constantly checking my cane link too before finding out.. But, I got an email telling me to check it as soon as it posted on there. So keep checking your email! (If you aren't already doing that) it definitely is short notice, but you'll find out soon enough! Good luck!

When were you guys verified? I got my acceptance exactly 2 weeks from the day I got verified. It was strange how everything fell on a thursday for me. I turned in my application 2/26 on a thursday, was verified 3/19 (exactly 3 weeks after) on a thursday, and got my email to check cane link 4/2 (exactly 2 weeks after) on a thursday, im sure it was just coincidence but just wanted to give a time line for you guys since I was on the late applicant boat as well :/ good luck!!

I got verified probably just a bit over 2 weeks ago...I think at least haha If so, then it should definitely be THIS week:)

Does anyone know the start date as well as the orientation date? ...and any other important dates for that matter!
