Hi everyone! I am currently enrolled in UMs ABSN, just started this summer (May 18th) and have 2 semesters left! Figured i'd give some advice since I was in your shoes about 5 months ago For applications, we started hearing back after the deadline. But the sooner you submit the sooner you'll hear back. For my cohort, the earliest replies were in March which was 2 months before our start time. But I know of people that didn't hear back until a week before classes started, so if you can apply early definitely do so! Also there were a couple people in my cohort and previous who commuted from ft lauderdale, boca, and even west palm. So if you need to commute from Delray it is a pain but doable. I did it for about a week during my last week of summer. Classes started at 8 am so i'd leave at 6 and get to campus around 7:10 (sunpass will be your bff). I heard traffic in the fall will be worse though, so if you do decide to commute maybe leave at 530 your first week to be on the safe side. I'll be getting a place in miami again though because the drive made me super sleepy haha. Anyways good luck with all your applications! :)

Acceptance information was through email from the school of nursing saying a decision was made & to check my cane link to see it. Information on all the clinical requirements came in an email 5 days after for me. You're supposed to get a letter from the school of nursing for clinical reqs but I still haven't received mine so I'm glad they sent out an email I hope that's what info you were referring to :)

Hi Laurie, congratulations! Honestly I'm not sure I think I might have read somewhere that you have 2 weeks, hopefully someone will correct me if i'm wrong. Since you haven't received your acceptance packet I just wanted to let you know there is a bunch of things to get done in these 5 weeks before we start school. FBI background check/drug screen (can take weeks), updated immunizations, summer financial aid applications/loans, BLS/CPR certification, etc. I know you're waiting on your other acceptances but just wanted to let you know some of the many things we're all getting done right now! So hopefully you hear back soon so you can make a decision & get on these things! Good luck :)

When were you guys verified? I got my acceptance exactly 2 weeks from the day I got verified. It was strange how everything fell on a thursday for me. I turned in my application 2/26 on a thursday, was verified 3/19 (exactly 3 weeks after) on a thursday, and got my email to check cane link 4/2 (exactly 2 weeks after) on a thursday, im sure it was just coincidence but just wanted to give a time line for you guys since I was on the late applicant boat as well :/ good luck!!

Ahhh thank you so much! I called IT support and they were able to give me the info I needed to log on. So I logged in but under application status it says application incomplete. Should I be worried about this? Anyone else have or heard of this problem? Idk if its because they haven't reached a decision for me yet or if its because they're missing files for my application :/ if anyone has any info i'd totally appreciate it. again thank you @ambitious_shan for replying! :) i'm considering calling the nursing school to ask but I don't want to seem annoying lol the anticipation is seriously killer, i'm never waiting this late to apply to anything again! Lol

How did you get information on getting your cane link? Does UM send you information to set one up? I haven't received anything on how to do that :/

I was verified march 19th also! Have you received any information on how to set up your cane link yet? I see a lot of people saying you can see your acceptance there before getting it via snail mail but I haven't gotten any info from UM on how to set one up =/

Hello everyone! I came across this page and decided to become a member to follow everyone's application progress. I just read through the entire thread and it was so exciting going from you all being super anxious to relieved with acceptances! Btw congratulations to you all that have been accepted! So I've had a lot going on lately and sadly I finally submitted my application today ;( but i'm trying to stay positive. Honestly if its meant to be for me it will happen if not i'll reapply for spring. The good thing is that my transcripts and evaluations got received over a month ago. All it was waiting on was me to finish the app and submit my essay and resume. So I guess my application would be under verification now since they have everything? I graduated from UF with a degree in biology. My gpa is about a 3.65 with a 4.0 in my prereqs. I have a couple questions for you guys since you've all been in this waiting game for over a month now and know so much. First, who exactly is an AC? I'm going to guess its something with admissions but how have you been able to get in contact with them? Because i've contacted the school of nursing twice and whoever answered the phone wasn't very helpful and didn't seem to know the answers. She kept asking me to call back -_- if someone could give me a good contact number that would be awesome. I know my app still has a while for verification but i'd like to try calling before anyhow to see if they received maybe in a couple days. I saw someone saying that UM has your app even if it hasnt been verified. Thanks guys, any input, advice, comments help.
