University of Miami Accelerated BSN spring 2018

Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!

Hi guys! So I submitted my app the 20th of July and still haven't heard back. It was verified July 31st I believe. It still says incomplete on my canelink. Is anyone else's taking this long? I know it was delayed bc of the hurricane, but it looks like a lot of people who applied after me heard back already...

Not sure about your situation specifically, but it's probably worth calling the nursing college and asking!

Thanks Gram! :) I just tried calling, and all she could tell me is to keep checking, and that everything was delayed bc of the hurricane... I do have my microbiology class in progress at Miami Dade, so maybe that is why they are considering me later? Hopefully I get in, I just moved here from CT!

I'm in the same boat as you. I applied on July 25th and it still says incomplete on my canelink. I called today and they said there are still seats available for the program and they are still working through applications. It's hard to be paitient for sure

Does anyone know how big the class will be? How many are accept into the program?

On the program's webpage it says the class size is roughly 70 per year. From what other people are saying on the forum, they may send out more than 70 acceptances to make up for those who inevitably decline or don't respond to the offer.

I got an email on Wednesday that my application is being reviewed! My status still says incomplete but seems like I'm gonna find out soon. Any changes for you?
