University of Miami ABSN Summer 2018

Published

Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else applying for the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Miami to start in May 2018? I am just finishing up my application now and hoping to submit it in a week or two. I'd like to connect to some others also applying!

I look forward to hearing from you all!

Right with you, sister!

Right with you, @GypsyRN05!

Hey everyone!

I just received my acceptance as well. Currently, I am trying to figure out the financial aspect but I am set on going because it's such a wonderful opportunity. Plus, I am from Connecticut so I need a change of scenery.

For those asking, I believe I applied at the end of October/early November. I'm just so freaking excited and blessed that I got in.

I would love to talk to all of you and try to figure out a living situation such as finding roommates.

Hi guys, I'm from the Summer 2017 cohort that's graduating this May. Me & my roommate will have an apartment we'll be looking for someone to take over the lease on in May. We also have bedroom sets & everything you need for kitchen stuff.. also textbooks, scrubs, white shoes. We'll be looking to sell that stuff or offer a deal to someone if they want to take over our lease also. If any of you have any questions about anything feel free to contact me!! The year flies by haha

I would love to talk to you further about this!

Hi everyone! Also got accepted today! I am from Mass so would definitely be looking for roommates if I attend. Does anyone know if you definitely need a car for this program?

I would like to talk to you about Miami. Advice would me awesome also. Good Luck with your last semester.

Feel free to message me with any questions (: and congrats on getting in!! I've never used the messaging feature on here but feel free to email me alyciaycordova @ Gmail .. I'm not sure how much I'll be selling books for but I'll get that all figured out as soon as I go back from winter break. I would say you do need a car because you might have clinicals that are impossible to get to without one. Some people in my cohort didn't tho so they just carpooled with others.

Congrats on your admissions!

Quick question, when I go on canelink and go to self service --> student admission it says my application is incomplete, but on nursing cas it all says complete?

Did yours say incomplete through canlink prior to your admission??

Hey Nick, I called UM about this last week because mine says incomplete as well. They said that's totally normal and until a decision has been made and we are notified it will say incomplete. Hope that helped a little bit! the waiting is killing me. good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back.

Quick question for those of you that have been accepted- did you receive an email from UM letting you know that you were accepted/ decision had been made and to check your canelink or were you just periodically checking your canelink for a decision? Thank you!

Hey everyone! I also just got my acceptance letter and would love to figure out a housing situation! I'm from Oregon so I'll also be driving down in April :)

@_emilyann I found out from an email (jan 4th), but it looks like the admission status on canelink was updated 2 days prior to the email notification.

Anyone know when the financial aid package is going to be released?
