Hello everyone! I am soon to be a nursing student. I am going back after receiving a bachelors in another field. I have all the pre reqs done and I'm looking to finish my BSN in about 2 years as accelerated is not for me. I have dreams of being a continental travel nurse. Ideally I would love to work in the UK - specifically the London area. I know it takes a bit of time to get accepted and get the paper work and the work visa, but I was just wondering how it is for anyone who does this? How hard was it to get the assigned location of your dreams and how long are they usually? Any cool stories or experiences are totally welcomed! How realistic is it as an American travel nurse to work in the UK?

Has anyone else heard back? This is driving me insane lol

Congrats on your admissions! Quick question, when I go on canelink and go to self service --> student admission it says my application is incomplete, but on nursing cas it all says complete? Did yours say incomplete through canlink prior to your admission??

Unfortunately you are. I just paid for them to enter my transcripts for me. It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion lol

This wait is killing me. Does anyone else feel like they don't give enough time? They say its rolling admissions, but I've heard that most people get decisions back February and the program starts in May. They don't really give much time to get a lot of things situated, especially for out of state students! I've heard back from a school within 2.5 weeks!

I also applied. I just talked to the one of the heads of the nursing school. They told me they are still working on the process for the spring 2019 (January). She told me this week or by next they will sit down and review the apps for summer. It seems like it is a very long process at UMiami!

Hi, So my undergrad GPA was just under a 3.5. I've taken bio stats and chemistry and i've gotten a B in both. I took anatomy and received a B+ and the rest of my classes were either B+ or A's. I still need to take physiology which will start for me in January. I took the sciences through John Hopkins online health sciences. What I think really made up for some of my B's in the science pre reqs was my resume. I have 300 hours of paid healthcare experience working as a physical therapy aide and currently I teach kids with autism and down syndrome and other MDs. I really believe Loyola is very holistic with their decisions!

Hi guys, I recently just got accepted to Loyolas' Chicagos ABSN program. The on campus (not hybrid option). I saw a few threads about former cohorts for this program, but none for fall 2018. I was just wondering if anyone else has been accepted and what they think of the program. I'd be moving from New Jersey. Has one visited the campus yet? Any other thoughts, etc
