University of Miami ABSN Summer 2018

Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else applying for the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Miami to start in May 2018? I am just finishing up my application now and hoping to submit it in a week or two. I'd like to connect to some others also applying!

I would just suggest if you have any pending courses contact the office of admission and make sure they verify that you can have them pending because per one of the admission personnels they did not accept students if they have pending courses, hence why I am going back and forth with the Provost office as well as the SON because that is not what is listed on their site.

@niccolel369 Wow! I saw your post on the other thread as well. That's definitely fortunate especially since their excuses goes against their admission requirements. You should have a positive outcome with your complaint.

What are some other schools that you know of that offer direct entry MSN programs?

I just recently submitted my application through NursingCas for Summer 2018. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back? This whole waiting process is killing me.

Looking through previous forums for UM's summer cohorts it seems like they usually don't send out decisions until mid-end of February. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will be earlier this year!

Hi everyone, I will be applying in December, right after my graduation. I still waiting for a letter of recommendation from my professor. I finish all my prerequisite already. Anyone knows if we need to have CNA Florida license prior the program started? Currently. I only have CNA license in NC.

Hi! I am applying too for summer 2018 and spoke with an advisor. They said it will remain incomplete until a decision is made.

I am waitlisted at another school and turned in The U Miami app early but the waiting is killing me!!

I live in CA I've never been to FL.

Have any of you taken the CPR class for certification yet?

My CPR expires January of 2018, but I will be renewing it with my work.

Im with you on this waiting period. Its making me anxious! Has anyone heard from University of Miami yet? I know they started looking at applications because they called me about mine.
