Hello, Since the other University of Maryland postings were high stress 'leveled' I'm starting a new one!

I've enjoyed the 'helpfulness' amongst the 2009 classes but here's 2010's THREAD START :heartbeat

So my application is in for UMD and if anyone else wants to celebrate being done applying and sending everything

Anyways, I heard there is usually 400-500 applications for about 150 slots... so hopefully everyone turns out okay.

has anybody here also applied to Towson???? I just got a letter a few days ago saying that I have been waitlisted :-/

No, but I think those slots are for ones that have opened up... so maybe max there was less than 20... I dunno... there could have been 2.... who knows. sorry you got waitlisted... I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear... but at least it wasn't a rejection letter

Does anyone know what happpens if I get accepted in Nov for Spring 2010, but I get a C in a pre req that I'm currently completing?

A friend of mine was accepted for fall 2009 but got a C in one of her classes and they told her she had to repeat it and get a B or she would lose her spot. She decided instead of taking it over the summer, to take it in the fall and deferred for spring 2010.

Which class was it? I still would have to take Col. Alg. Algebra was always my weakness. That's the only class I'd expect a C in.

It was in statistics. She's retaking it right now. I think they require a B in every prerequisite. Good luck!

haha... i checked my status a lot today and then gave up and played some good ole Jack Johnson :w00t:and stop wishing that getting into Nursing School didn't have so many silly WHENs... I'm a pretty chill person, but I prefer to know where I stand... so while I babysit my Aunt's kiddies tonight I will paint their nails hot pink and orange to shake off the rainy maryland blues!!! :loveya: and not check my status :heartbeat.... hopefully
