Hello, Since the other University of Maryland postings were high stress 'leveled' I'm starting a new one!
I've enjoyed the 'helpfulness' amongst the 2009 classes but here's 2010's THREAD START :heartbeat
So my application is in for UMD and if anyone else wants to celebrate being done applying and sending everything
in put up a cheer!!!
for just being done with applying!!!
I wonder how long it'll take to get a YES!!! or a thank you, next time
Anyways, I heard there is usually 400-500 applications for about 150 slots... so hopefully everyone turns out okay.
B-more campus
thank goodness they let me change my request to shady grove.... it'll be cheaper for me since it is pretty much next door to me.... I had no idea that the shady grove and baltimore campuses got the 'same listed' degrees... arghh i should read better between the lines...
so it's Shady Grove for me!!!!! :loveya:
You can be assured that the BSN program is exactly the same at both campuses. How could the AANC permit any differences? Your diploma is the same and does not indicate campus. The requirements, the books, the syllabii are the same - just in two different places and that includes clinicals. I am an administrator for the Shady Grove campus and am unabashedly a fan of that campus. Feel free to ask questions. Oh, and if you would like to tour the campus, we have an Open House coming up Sat., Oct. 24 9 to noon where you can drop by, walk around and talk to staff and students of the UMB School of Nursing. Bring family and there is food.
Hi, there,
Since you have applied for the Shady Grove campus (and, by the way, there is no difference in how your application is evaluated versus those who asked for the Baltimore campus) have you ever been here? There is an ideal time to visit coming up - Saturday, October 24, 9 am to noon. The UMB nursing program will have a booth where you can meet with faculty, admissions folks and current students - maybe even some graduates of the BSN program at SG. No RSVP is needed and you can come and go anytime as you like. Bring family - there will be refreshments. I will be there and would love to meet you.
Good luck to you both. Let me know if you have any questions about the program at the Shady Grove campus and hang in there, it normally takes 4 to 6 weeks after the deadline to hear the admissions decision. So we are talking about maybe mid October for most folks. But that is just a guess - it is different for every applicant group.
arrghhh at least you have that... mine ain't movin' an inch.....
off to babysit (hey it's good money) & watch twilight again... yes... 9 year old girls are crazy about it... at least it's better than blues clues.... otherwise, I think I'd die if I had to watch another veggie tales :loveya:
