University of Hawaii-MEPN PROGRAM...anyone heard about it?

I'm applying for UH MEPN program for Fall 2009. Has anyone heard about the program? It's fairly new but I just want to know what I'm getting myself into...lol. I know overall, nursing school is tough but would like some feedback on the MEPN program itself.

My GPA is 3.7, below 3.8

I think my essays were good. I was really thoughtful about them. Better to ask UH. From past posts of past semesters, I wouldn't think they're done calling and scheduling interviews.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. I don't think my GPA stand a chance then.... I wrote a 5 pages essay!!!! And went through hell to get my application in on time due to the nasty weather here in Boston. But lets pray for the best. I don't think they are done with interviews. According to last year, it went all the way through March. Good luck to all those who got an interview = )

Yea, I don't think they are done yet with interviews being that they just started them and by looking at last years posts people were being contacted all the way until March 10 for interviews. Good Luck everyone!

i applied last year and got an interview but wasn't chosen. reapplied this year but i havent heard anything, not even if my app was received. last year when erik anderson was the grad assistant, i received email updates weekly. has anyone received email confirmation that their entire app was received? he was grad assistant till dec so all my emails ceased after 2011. did anyone also receive an email stating interview selections will be starting because those went out on feb 5th last year. i know i probably shouldn't be comparing how things were last year because we now have different grad assistants but i'm just so nervous here!

I am right there with you. I only got 1 e-mail and that was over 2 months ago. I am nervous if my application is even complete and being looked at. Its a bit odd they would not notify us all about our application status and if/if not being selected for interviews.

I have only received 2 emails. One told me when all app materials needed to be sent by and the other told me that my application was complete and all materials received. Still don't know about the interview situation though. Hopefully we find out soon :-)

I can understand the concern, but you'd be very surprised how often people don't accept the offer, or they change their mind last minute. It makes sense that they don't confirm *no* interview for anyone! This is a *process* for the school too.

I agree. They will not send out any rejection letters or tell you that you don't have an interview until their classes are full!! It's a waiting game and I hate it!!!

Yea I was in shocked when I heard the GPA cutoff! Pianoman I read in one of your posting that you were from Boston. I hope you get an interview and get the hell out of this crazy weather!
