University of Hawaii-MEPN PROGRAM...anyone heard about it?

I'm applying for UH MEPN program for Fall 2009. Has anyone heard about the program? It's fairly new but I just want to know what I'm getting myself into...lol. I know overall, nursing school is tough but would like some feedback on the MEPN program itself.

i ended up not selecting a concentration since it would not let me- it was in my essay so i assume that is fine. in my essay i didnt cite studies, but cited references from books/professional nursing organizations about my specialty and about apns. hopefully that was acceptable... does anyone know when we should hear about interviews?

Reading last years post, look like we wont hear anything until about mid Feb. So a little bit longer...

has anyone heard from Hawaii yet? The only thing I ever got from them was an e-mail stating what materials were recieved , but then got another e-mail saying to disregard the previous. That was in Jan. Anyone hear anything?

Not yet. It seems from the posts that it will not be until late february that we hear anything.

no, i called them the other day and they didn't seem to know. or at least the person I spoke with who said she was filling in. However, she told me that they will notify you the end of this week or beginning of next week regarding interview dates/times, which I expressed concern over given that I am in Nashville, TN, and she said that out-of-state interviews are done over the phone. She also said there will most likely be two rounds of interviews, so final decisions, as far as she could tell, wouldn't be until mid- March.

I got a call this afternoon for an interview next week (Friday). Anyone happen to know what to expect at the interview? What the objective is?

I applied for the MEPN's Public Health for Fall 2011 admission.
