I wanted to start this forum for all applying for the UF BSN-DNP for Fall 2023. I know applications just opened up last month but wanted to start early! I personally applied for the Fall 2021 cycle, sadly did not make it. The email I received stated there were too many applicants that cycle. So after a move to ER nursing from med surg and raising my babies just a little more; I have decided to give this another go!!

Last year it did seem like it was within 2 days and some were still accepted on day 2. But each time it did seem to happen towards the end of the day on a Thursday and Friday. I'm thinking it even possible that if we don't hear one way or another today, it could go on as long as next Thursday and Friday, since that's still considered "early April". Keep your head up! And congratulations to everyone accepted so far ?
Please don't lose hope! My last name starts with a C so I was probably the first batch. I was super nervous about applying because my nursing GPA was a 3.0 but I don't think they only look at the grades. I took on a few leadership roles and evidence based projects which is what I think boosted my chances. Their focus is on research so I hope that helps for anyone applying for next year.
I also spoke to one of my friends that applied in the past and they do send out answers in batches so just keep an eye on your emails. Hoping for the best for you guys and everyone who applies in the future!

@Luckycharm1025 CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN! That is so awesome. ? I'm confident in my GPA, it's more of the extra stuff. I wish I would have taken on or mentioned more of projects like that. Good thinking!
Though I was a patient at UF Shands and had a life altering surgery there, I mentioned being on both sides of care- so maybe that will help me! LOL
@Luckycharm1025 thank you so much for that info, I was actually going to ask you what letter your last name starts with! LOL it seems that grades and GPA are actually a very low factor in their decision making process because I finished my BSN a couple weeks ago and offered to provide them with my updated transcript; she said that it was not a concern of theirs and if selected for admission I will just provide the updated transcript then. Let's just all keep our fingers crossed and maybe I'll see you at orientation! Congratulations ?

@tiffanyjwrn So from my friends post, it looks like it came from the "University of Florida" and the subject line said "University of Florida College of Nursing BSN to DNP Program Admission Decision". That was yesterday at 4:15pm
