I wanted to start this forum for all applying for the UF BSN-DNP for Fall 2023. I know applications just opened up last month but wanted to start early! I personally applied for the Fall 2021 cycle, sadly did not make it. The email I received stated there were too many applicants that cycle. So after a move to ER nursing from med surg and raising my babies just a little more; I have decided to give this another go!!

I thought about it. It’s a great program but you have to do all of your clinicals in Florida and I live in SC and have babies ?
but good luck!

I am going to apply as well for this application cycle. I just received my last reference letter and I just have to answer the two questions they require. I am nervous but excited to possibly embark on this last journey in my education.

Hi guys! I too am looking to apply for Fall 2023. I did my BSN at UF and I hope I can get my final degree from there as well. I wonder how competitive it is to get in though--like average GPA etc. Any insight?
I got my BSN at FAU so I did also apply there as a back up; they don't have acute care programs, so I had to apply to their FNP program as my backup. I would assume that these schools accept their own alumni first before accepting others but I am not sure. I do know that UF's minimum GPA requirement is a 3.0 and I did here that UF's FNP program is their most competitive program.
Go Owls! I received my 1st degree from FAU! I didn’t apply to them because I hear it’s tough to get in. IDK y I keep letting hear-say deter me but now the deadline has passed. I’m doing UF, Nova & PBA. I’m praying I get into one of them.
Oh no, FAU’s deadline is February 1, 2023. I do the same thing: let hearsay override what I’m doing. I was thinking of Nova too but it’s SO expensive and I can’t see paying that much money for the same degree that I can get somewhere else for a fraction of the cost.
Is it? I have to do more research on FAU then. Thanks for sharing! Now I have to rally up 3 more references hahaaa!
Yes, for their BSN to DNP. The deadline is different for their MSN

Hi! I am also applying to the FNP program for fall 2023! This is my school of choice but I am also applying to FGCU as a backup. This week I’m going to submit my response to the 2 questions and follow up on my reference letters from 2 people. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed ?
Also, I wonder if wether you pick full time or part time makes a difference? As in, do they only accept X amount of students total, or a certain amount for both full time and part time. I’m picking part time because I have 3 little ones and will also continue to work!
I chose part time as well. I hope we all get in!?
I picked full time just to get it done faster. I’ll continue to work full time and then drop down accordingly. I wish it wasn’t such a long time before we found out if we got accepted or not.
