University of Florida (UF) BSN-DNP Fall 2023

I wanted to start this forum for all applying for the UF BSN-DNP for Fall 2023. I know applications just opened up last month but wanted to start early! I personally applied for the Fall 2021 cycle, sadly did not make it. The email I received stated there were too many applicants that cycle. So after a move to ER nursing from med surg and raising my babies just a little more; I have decided to give this another go!!

Hi guys!

I don't know about you but I'm getting super nervous and can't stop thinking about their admission decisions! ? does anyone have any insight on when we should expect the decision email? From looking at previous years it was around April and May, but they also moved the deadline up by one month so maybe March for us? ? I read somewhere it's usually between 4-5 weeks after the deadline! Has anyone actually asked yet?

I haven't asked but I would assume a month or so? I went back into my friend's facebook photos to see when she got her email and she got her acceptance email on March 25th ??‍♀️

I received an email last week stating that it will be April -_- Did you get that email? I'm so weary of waiting LOL! My other school wants a deposit for my seat but I don't want to lose $500 if I get into UF —which I'd obviously choose LOL!

Yep I got that email too and so did my coworker who also applied to UF. I was kind of hoping they'd let us know this month instead of next month. I have a virtual interview tomorrow with FAU and I'm freaked out, not knowing what to expect. ? It went well with Nova?

Yes I got that e-mail too! I've only applied to two schools, UF and FGCU and I honestly feel good about my application to both schools but I have a feeling FGCU's decision will come out before UF but UF is my first choice! I guess if I have to I could always reject my offer acceptance if need be ?

SAME HERE!  UF is my first choice but I have a feeling that FAU will come with their decision before FAU, seeing as FAU admits for the Summer and UF admits for the fall.  My interview for FAU is at 2:30pm and I've been searching the internet for pointers.

Yes I've heard YouTube is the best place to find pointers, I feel like I've watched every single video possible regarding DNP program applications, interviews LOL I would say just be yourself! From what I'm hearing UF and FGCU don't hold admission interviews so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that's the case ?

I heard UF doesn't do interviews and I'm hoping that still stands. Believe it or not, this particular site alone had the most information regarding interviews from the actual school applicants themselves.

Hey guys! So I did 2 DNP interviews & got accepted to both programs. 
Questions asked by both: 

Why do you want to be an NP? Y the DNP? 
What is your goal when you get your DNP?

Tell me about your schedule (they are trying to see if you can handle the load of school)

They also asked the common interview questions: Tell me about yourself (sell yourself! LOL)
