University dropping class

Published

I was planning on applying to Nursing school for the spring semester while I finished my prereqs next semester (which is allowed), sadly today I got an e-mail saying that my Nutrition class was being dropped from the fall schedule. This is very irritating to me since the only other open nutrition class is during the time of my Micro class. Micro and Nutrition will be the only classes I have left to take in the fall. This is just frustrating because I was so ready to apply and have been studying for the HESI and everything. I'm not sure what to do... I guess I will have to stuck it up and wait another semester. Has anyone else had an similar experience?

I haven't had this happen to me, but that is an easy class to take online; have you considered this option? That way you won't fall behind in your plans. I took mine through ccconline.

Good luck!

You can either take the class online and transfer the credits to your school, or you take the class at a community college in your area.

Thank you for the advice!

Does your school require you to take all your prereqs at their school? Mine did and when this happened to me I went to the department that taught the classes I needed and explained the situation. TONS of other students were needing this class also and they eventually added it back to the schedule.

Hope everything works out for you!

I would take it online and transfer it. I'm just finishing up my Nutrition class online and it was very easy. It is definitely an easily doable online class.

My school does this all the time, mostly if the class is half empty and they can see that everyone else can fit into the other open class, they'll do it. It definetely sucks.

Sand Dollar is right. This is an EASY class to take online. I took it online and it was one of the easier A's I had earned. I would do that instead of delaying another semester. Good luck!

Thanks everyone!
