university of detroit mercy second degree program

U.S.A. Michigan

I am thinking about going to Mercy's accelerated second degree program but I hear they lose many people during the year due to grades. Is that true? Is it too fast and should I consider a 2 year program? I am a good student but I'd hate to spend all that money then not make it as they don't allow anyone to retake a class so I hear as other schools do. I am open to all feedback. Thank you.

Thank you rockstar for all of the information! Good luck finishing the rest of the program :)

I guess I am just confused still... Since I was not formally rejected, and instead told that spots were being filled if they become available, obviously that means if a few spots become available for January there is a possibility that I might be called to fill a spot. However, like creativetype was saying, do I not have to reapply to start in May (if I don't end up getting called to fill a spot in January). Will they just reconsider my same application or will I automatically be accepted? Basically, am I in for sure for May? I am just interested to know if anyone in your cohort, rockstar, was in a similar situation that I am currently. Obviously no one can tell me for sure besides the admissions committee, i just wondered if anyone here has any input :)

Musliz2010

regarding your ques for addmissiion

i was in same siutation for getting addmissin for may 2010 sesmester and i didn;t get it bec i did finished the english ,the addmissin committee keep saying thast you willl be in until 2 week before class start

regarding for may 2011 you have to follow the person and keep in touch with e-mails ,yes the most imortant thing is to save your spot by paying $500 to addmission person

they ask you to pay a money after they re o.k with your all prerequiste transcript and they send you package to go for medical and criminal chekup

i hope this information help

I am thinking about applying to the second Degree program. was wondering if second degree applicants have to take the HESI exam??

Can anyone tell me if you have to take the HESI/NET exam for the second degree program at UDM? Thanks

I am attending U of D Mercys accelerated nursing program that begins in May 2011. Does anyone have any preparation suggestions??? I start in 3 months and am SUPER nervous.

I was wondering how long it takes to find out if you get into U of D's accelerated nursing program.. I have sent in my application and I have given them my plan to make sure I complete the prerequisites and can graduate before the winter semester.

You have to have 3 of the 5 science pre-reqs completed before you can be considered. So, if you have them completed you should be considered soon. It also depends on if you are looking at the Jan or May program:)

I already sent them my plan for the winter and I only have 2 left to complete and it's for the January program.. will they have an answer in like a month? THanks!

What gpa do you need to get accepted?

you need to have a 3.0 and I believe a 2.5 in all prerequisite courses

do you really have only one chance in this program? even in the first degree program?
