Just submitted my application through NursingCAS for the WHNP program. Hopefully I will be able to get everything in before Feb 1. How was the process for you? Did you pay for the professional transcript entry? I guess I am just worried I am forgetting something?

Hey there! I was previously admitted to the Adult-Gero NP Program but had to defer due to the pandemic. I'm applying to the Summer 2021 FNP program, fingers crossed I hear back and am admitted soon!

@Byee11 @cherieRN Awesome!! It may be a little early to be worrying about this, but have you thought about reaching out to potential preceptors yet or are you waiting for the program to actually begin before you start looking? From what I understand, we don’t start clinicals until next year

@gotcoffee I am waiting because my husband is still active duty Navy and I don't know where we will be moving to this Summer. If I was staying where I am at, I would start looking or at least be putting my feelers out. Where are you located? Which program are you starting?

@Byee11 I’m in Washington State and I’ll be starting the FNP program. Where are you located? We should start a facebook page for those of us starting the program in May! ?

It's definitely been on my mind but I haven't made any moves to start contacting anyone. I have friends who are physicians in the area so I think they'll be helpful with networking and connecting with preceptors.

@gotcoffee I'll be starting the FNP program as well! I'm in Ohio ?

@gotcoffee I live in Port Orchard and work in Tacoma, you? I am all for a facebook page for NP students. I am not doing the FNP program, I am doing WHNP, but I think it would be nice to start a group for support. Getting more excited everyday.

I was notified that my application was “verified” about 2 weeks after submitting, and I got the acceptance about one week after that. Good luck!
