University of Cincinnati FNP fall 2013 anyone???

Hi Guys-

I want to apply for the UC Online Program Starting Summer or Fall 2015. I have tried to look all over the place in the website for the deadline without any luck.

Do you guys happen to know when the deadlines might be for Summer/Fall 2015?

What can you guys tell me about the program?

Hey EMEddie--I also want to apply for the UC online program for Fall of 2015. I'm not entirely sure which program you are looking into, but I have been looking into the FNP program and I believe the deadline for FNP-distance learning is in early May.

I got accepted in the online FNP program for Fall 2016 any advice you could give me. How did you manage. I am not working at this time but I have a toddler at home.

Hello!

I'm halfway through UC's online FNP program. I'm still working full-time with a nine-year-old and it's rough, but doable. My best advice is this: forget about a social life and a clean house! Other than that, if you have the resources, try to find a babysitter or family member that can take your toddler a few hours a day. Each class has 1-3 hours of lecture/ week to listen to, plus doing the readings, papers, and projects can add at least another 10 hours/week of study.

I don't know about you, but my brain can only do so much in a day, so I try to break it up into sessions and do a few hours every day, instead of trying to cram a week's worth of work into one or two days. Thankfully, my daughter is in school now, so I study in the mornings on days I don't work.

Definitely doable! (and don't buy most of the books!)

About your comment on the books, how dI'd you manage to get your readings done without buying "most of the books"? Did you mean you didn't buy the book but found an online book to use?

I rented most of the books from Amazon. The only ones I though were worth buying (because I may need them someday) were pathophysiology and advanced health assessment. The pharm books we get for free (yay!) and the theory/research type classes really don't even need the books at all.
