University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2024

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I did not see a conversation on UCLA MECN 2024. This is a topic for everyone who has applied to the MECN program for 2024! Good luck everyone, I am getting a little nervous. We should get acceptance letters by mid-February!

Mine said "Congrats..” too but when I tried to view my letter it said "Your Provisional Award Letter (PAL) is not available at this time.” Does anyone know what it means? ?

I believe that's for financial aid purposes only. if you click on it, the first paragraph said some schools don't generate that letter. Graduate nursing is one of them. "Some of UCLA's professional schools do not provide Provisional Award Letters to their students. If you are a student at the Geffen School of Medicine, Anderson School of Management, School of Dentistry or a graduate student at the School of Nursing, please contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships at your school for additional information.”

I would say you're in! I was waitlisted and I just created an account and mine isn't promoting me to accept or decline anything! I'm viewing it on mobile (don't have access toy laptop RN) but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't change if I did view it on a desktop!

Did you sign up with your UID/ have you gotten any updates to the page? Hm I still haven't received any updates to my grad portal

Could someone create a facebook group? or even a discord and we could all connect and introduce ourselves ? Looking forward to meeting you all!

I signed up in myUCLA portal using my UID that's on top of my application (should be 9 digits). First time logged in, saw nothing then came back an hour later, the "congratulations" was there. My grad portal/application still said "submitted" only. If you decide to accept, you'll fill out a bunch of questions and get to the last page where it says "you have accepted offer of admission. Welcome to UCLA". I think that's a final sure message that you're in. Hope that helps.

I received the same message, but I still feel a little uneasy without an official letter from the graduate portal/SON admissions director. I was curious if anyone on the waitlist also tried coming back to their myUCLA portal account (using the UID) and received a different page.

by any chance, does anyone know if there is a deposit due when accepting our SIR? I know that we have to decide by April 15th, but do we owe anything to save our spot?

I agree. Should I create one?

I'm waitlisted and I created an account. It only shows my personal information and it says not email eligible.

Yah now that I think about it, I feel uneasy too ?. Wish they'd send everything out at once so we're not sitting and waiting anxiously. Someone on the waitlist said above that they didn't have the option to accept or deny admission offer on their myUCLA.

There's people from the waitlist who got in already!?

No, I just created an account which accepted and waitlisted people are both able to do.
