University of California, Irvine (UCI) Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) Fall 2023

Published

Hi all,

I had seen a discussion thread last year for students who applied to UCI's MEPN program and I found the comments really helpful. Maybe by connecting we can see when invitations to interview are sent out. ? I did see that UCI was expanding its MEPN program this year which is exciting!

A little about me-I am pursuing nursing at the mid stages of my life. I have a degree in Health Education and Health Promotion and community health nursing is my aspiration! Hope we can connect!

I am also throwing my hat into other degree programs- CSUF, Golden West, Saddleback, Vanguard. Basically anywhere that fits my goals and budget ?

2nd round applicant that did an interview. Still have not heard back at all.

I'm on the exact same boat as you, not sure how many of us there are... I hope we get an answer soon

I really hope we hear back by the end of this month ????????

Just wondering if any waitlists have heard back.

Also is the end of July when we receive our final decision?

Still haven't heard anything back since my interview. Emailed them and said we should know something by July....

Hi! I'm going to be applying to UCI's MEPN program this upcoming fall. Any advice?

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone applying for MS-MEPN Spring 2024 at the U of A?

I think I might be applying there.

Hi! Has anyone done the interview and have any tips? Do we get to redo any of it and is it timed?

when I did mine they give you about 2 min of think time before you record your answers. no do overs . I think it was a total of 6 questions I believe

look for sample interview questions online and prepare answers for those. practice saying them aloud while timing yourself. after showing you the questions, jot down an outline of things that you want to discuss and watch out for the time. last tip is to just be sincere!

to those admitted, could you share any tips you have for starting the program? anyone working during the program too?

be organized and manage your time well. there are people who are able to work during the program, but it might be hard starting in the Spring quarter of the first year with the number of clinical hours that you have to do.
