Got an email saying that now they will notify us by December 31st due to high volume of applicants

I think this is the email people got when they submitted their apps early and they got an email saying they'll be notified by December 15th but since I submitted my app 10/31st I am just now getting that email but mine is saying we'll be notified December 31st I got it at 11:53am

"Thank you for your interest in the UC Davis Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. We received your verified application for graduate study in the Doctor of Nursing Practice — Nurse Anesthesia Degree Program. 

The school will email applicants a notification of their application status by December 31, 2024. There is no secondary application needed at this time— a select group of applicants will be invited to complete the UC Davis Graduate Studies application in the Winter. Due to the high volume of applications received, we ask that you kindly refrain from calling or emailing the school with inquiries about your application status. This allows us to better serve our current and prospective students. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Okay I see. I did receive the original email for Dec. 15th but, maybe because I applied earlier I haven't received this one.
