Members are discussing the application process and status updates for a New Grad RN program at UC Davis Health, specifically focusing on reference checks, interview experiences, and offers for different units like Operation Room (OR). Members are sharing their experiences with reference requests, discussing the possibility of being considered for future cohorts, and seeking advice on starting inpatient versus outpatient roles. Additionally, successful applicants are sharing information about onboarding processes and previous experience in the OR.
I'd like to start a thread to keep updated with everyone's timeline from "Application Received" to "Hired" or anything in between. I didn't see a post and wanted to start one.
Hey everyone.
Just wanted to provide an update from the HR contact, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAMES - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OF INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS). I inquired about the timeline of offers, and she said offers will be extended up until the end of this coming week for the August 5th start cohort.
Has anyone received an offer?

Does this include getting an updated "routed for further consideration"? I asked her and she said that they would be reviewing up until August! I'm guessing this would be for October cohort? I'm really hoping it is! Anyone looking into ICU? I haven't seen anyone get routed there yet
Sorry I mean September*

Hi! I do believe so actually. All apps are reviewed individually by unit/department which is why we see people getting routed at different times. Fingers crossed for you!
*Also, just edited my original comment for clarification.
Im just confused, although not really because its feeling pretty clear at this point...
I interviewed on 6/21. It went well despite my nerves. I never heard back. I have not got a skills check, I have emailed the dept manager, I have emailed the person who reached out to me with the interview information, and I emailed the person in charge of recruitment from HR. NOTHINGGG!
The HR person said shed have the dept reach out to let me know. My application still says "routed for further consideration" but absolutely no indication of what the heck is truly happening beyond the fact that I've been ghosted essentially. So frustrating.

I had a friend with a very similar situation who interviewed and heard nothing for months, but then they were called way later with an offer for the later cohort start date. It could definitely be a possibility that they could call you for October. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best for you!
